hi i was thinking of getting a parking sticker for mac for a year (to avoid paying like $10 each time i come) but my class which is once a week goes from 6-9pm...
i noticed when i bought a parking ticket last time it ended at 8.. so does that mean the car park closes at 8?
are there specific places to park if you have an evening class or something?

cos this yr, my class finishes at 9pm, they can't close the carpark before then!

and last semester i had class till 8, and there were heaps of cars left when i walked past, so it definately doesn't close at 8

once a week...maybe you should consider parking at mac center or my "secret place".

well not really secret, its behind the lake on the roadside. either case its a 10-15 min walk.

yeh...just park on the road which leads to back of library/gym area...its like 5-10 mins walk

no...like when you come off m4 you take a left a the red lights...you take right instead and partk behind the lake.

you talking to me iab? you just park at the shown parking spots...walk across the grass and trees area, past the scenic views of the pond, and find your way from there.

I think I know where you park, but your perspective of the uni is completely different to mine. Is it near the art building/gallery thing? and they have all those funky sculptues?
.... coz if it is, I thought that area was reserved for psych lecturers and people working in the animal lab thingo and for actual workers from those other companies in MQ park...

(I could be wrong). If you want free parking, just go to MQ shops, but leave yourself a bit of time to get to campus because its easy to become distracted by the pretty bright lights of the shops and thus skip your class.. And now that they have installed those pedestrian crossings, we best use them I suppose, rather than play chicken with the oncoming cars!

^^ expensive. Get a sticker. If anything, it saves you the hassle of having to find a park and then going and paying for it while you're running late to a class. Some days the car park is just packed and I see those poor people getting out and walking a million miles from their car to the ticket machines, then back, then to class.

It would suck in summer and in the rain (being winter)... so basically all year it would suck!

approx:
112 for a year
69 for a semester
10 for a day
5 for an hour

it should be somewhere online. it's worth buying the yearly sticker because if it's $10 per day, parking for 12 days will be $20 which already makes up your yearly ticket. and the inspectors at macquarie do their job, so you will get fined if you don't have a ticket.

edit: mj- yeh the sculptures are there...the grass area should be bigger, but couldnt make it happen

The worst I have seen it is when the carpark was completely packed at 11 and stayed that way til around 3pm. Most days it is around 12 - 2. Hence when making my timetable I made sure I don't have a later start than 11
