ooooo someone is a little cut that their team had a disasterous loss on friday to a far superior rugby league side. this st george side continue to show that they cant live up to their billing with a team many think on paper are unstoppable. they lose a game or two and their confidence slides. they put together some great football and blow it by playing appaling football in the same game. keep shifting the blame mate 'full strength squad' phh whatever thats the sign of a lack of depth if you blame a loss on that. parra are a team that have skill across the park and your comments about taking a few players away from the game and it would have been different are absurd. what about dean widders, eric groathe and hindmarsh, morris and morrison who played excellent footy on friday? all you st geoge supporters are the same. blame everyone but your team.
Well it's true. I was cut that we lost, because I thought we would show more spirit than what we did.
Half of what I said was made in the heat of the moment.
Blaming everyone but our own team is not true. I suggest you start reading the Jubilee Ave forums to find out just how many supporters actually never stop flaming the team.
The anomaly for the Dragons is that player-for-player, they are the best, but they simply aren't the best team. And if they aren't the best team, they won't win the Premiership. Simple.
Cityboy, your line about Burt being better than Gasnier... I don't know if you are just sticking up for your player or just not recognising the facts. Ask ANY left centre in the NRL and they'll tell you that the centre they hate marking most is Mark Gasnier.
Then, I start to think you may not be on the same planet as the rest of us when you say that Timana Tahu is the worst player on your roster. First off, it's not HIS fault that he isn't chosen as winger. While Grothe may well be in career-best form, Tahu is a better winger than him. However, politics does not deem it correct not to have Eric Grothe Jnr on the wing. I sometimes wonder why Tahu isn't on the left wing instead of Petersen.
And incidentally, Eric Grothe was horribly shown up by Colin Best on Friday. Perhaps everyone wants to flame Best because every Parramatta try came down his side, but almost every single one was directly the fault of Chris Sheppard. I guess that in his first game, though, he can't be expected to understand how the defensive line of another club works.
