I just applied for a legal assistant-type job at a law firm, and i put in my cover letter that my average is a distinction -- would they assume that this is an average for just my law subjects? Because my overall Arts/Law average is a high distinction. Would it be misleading, to put on my resume under Arts/Law, that I have a high distinction average? Or should I separate the two and put two averages?

Not a big deal I guess, but I wish I had thought of it before I submitted it.

Put HD and elaborate if needed during the interview.

another suggestion is to calculated the weighted average mark of your law subjects. :)

Hi,
I think that distinction itself is the highest degree and since you have written they will assume the same.I guess its not a big deal.So chill.
