Hi all, I'll keep this short.

I've already completed my first year of uni and I'm planning on doing a double-degree of B.Com-Accg & B.App.Fin.

I'd like to know if it's possible to do this part-time, and if so, how long would it take?

What about just B.Com-Accg... that's five years part-time, isn't it?

Thanks in advance,
Luke.

As you will know, your degree only will take as long as you make it.

'Part-time' could mean 1-2 units. The best thing to do is 'plan' your degree (with your major?) and look at what units you'll be doing what year. Then you'll know.

Someone here who does those/that degree might be able to guess, but you need to map out your degree to know with more certainty.

Alright, thanks for the reply.

I'll do some digging on the Macquarie site.

That's good advice.

Look at what hours you will be working, and try to fit units around it. Do as many as you think would be suitable. What kinda hours is your work? A 9-5 job? Can you make some sort of arrangement to have an extra day off? Some things you can consider...

If unsure of what you can handle, although you have had experience since you are a 2nd yr student now, have your 'border-line' unit which you are willing to drop. Just make sure it is before your census date, so you are not penalised financially, or academically with a withdrawn (W) unit on your transcript.

(I have started to use capitalisation for your viewing pleasure. And, it might also make me sound a tad more sophisticated.

The short answer is you double it. So a 3 year degree takes 6 years part time and a 4 year degree would take 8 years (lol) part time....give or take a semester.
