what minijumbuk is trying to explain is, is that:crammy90 said:i dont quiet understand that.
i would have said ok so in that 350ml there are 3 ml NaCl
in 1 million parts there are x amount of NaCl
thus id derive:
3parts : xparts
350parts : 1E6
thus 3x1E6/350 = x
x = 8571ppm??
what does that achieve/ what is wrong with my logic
Pretty sure it's a typo, but to avoid confusion, he meant 3mg x 1/0.35danz90 said:what minijumbuk is trying to explain is, is that:
if there were 3mg of NaCl in 350ml
Then how many mg of NaCl in 1L?
350mL=0.35L
hence, the 3mg/350ml is the same as: 3mg / 1/0.35 L
which equals 8.57mg/L =8.57ppm
Remember, simply: ppm = mg/L
ok i think i get itminijumbuk said:You do it mass:volume, or volume:volume. It's basically what it sounds like: How many parts of that substance is in 1 million parts of that mixture?
Say you have 3mg of NaCl in 350 mL of soil
