I would not prefer (but its an necessary evil) school days for studying and completing assignments and even when I go home in the afternoon knowing I have assessments looming is a excellent motivation for completing them. Although holidays are a welcomed break and rest point it does tend to disrupt my work\study patterns I have already developed.

My teachers told us that the holidays are school away from school, i.e. while we work hard they are bludging.

Homework

English

-Line by Line Analysis of Yeats poems. So far 15 page document, more than half is just the poems rewritten.
-Assignment, analyse 5 different texts

Maths
-Homework question
-Easter Bunny Assignment, another reason to shoot the Easter Bunny, he's in league with my maths teacher (who during class prays to pythagoras)

Physics
-Assignment on medical physics, spent 2 days of holidays begging for x-rays etc at hospital

Modern History
-Summarise textbook (homework)

Japanese
-About 20 A3 sheets to translate

Business
-Sumarise half of textbook (homework)

PLUS we are expected to study.

So for our sad little game of holiday work. Sadly I have checkmate.

I kind of wanna get back to school because I know very soon I'm going to start slacking off and being idiotic lol but then I still want to be able to do nothing all day long. Oh the internal conflicts one faces in the wake of the HSC!

Holidays - best time to catch up on sleep and work or get ahead of others that might be mucking around.

School - almost no time to do the above.

I know this sounds strange. Most of you will probably enjoy holidays more.

But I have to say, I hate HSC holidays. They were great before this year, but now they just suck.

I go to bed late. I get up late. I eat late. I am lazy. I bludge all day when I have a nice pile of assignments to do. I feel shit coz I bludge. I get depressed because the work gets even more stressful. It totally sucks.

At school, at least I am FORCED to interact with other people. Plus, I can talk to them about work, and compare with them. It feels like I have a tighter grip on the HSC at school.

Well its nearing the end of the holidays, and well schoolwork-wise, i haven't done anything productive, ive done a bit of homework here and there, i was momentarily motivated to start my assessment until i read the first paragraph of the topic.
I have mixed feelings towards the whole getting back to school:
1. Sleep will once again become a luxury - oh how i'll miss it.
2. I'll be doing homework and socialising again.
I've been such a couch potato - eating and sleeping and then the few hours on the net.

I prefer the school holidays to study 'cause when im at school, there's not much time for me to study and to practice my musical instrument, in actual fact I only have 4 hrs each night if im lucky. So I like the holidays and I force myself to study.

Oh crap school in 5 days...nooooooo I take it back - I prefer the holidays! 1 more weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeek...if only
Think of it this way: the closer to the end of holidays, the closer to term. The closer to term, the closer to the end of term. THe closer to the end of term, the closer to holidays. And the cycle continues until the HSC is over forever!!!
