hey all.
can someone give me a working definition of pastiche and maybe an example from somewhere if possible.
I'm under the impression that it's an imitation of someone elses writing in your own...is this right?

to my understanding, pastiche is a postmodernist's technique where they would adopt the styles of other writers, usually to mock or prove a point

think of it like a collage, pastiche is basically bits and pieces taken from other stuff stuck together to form another picture
