20 grant... I've spent more than that on computers...
Seriously... If you ref enough hockey, and take a part time job aswell, you can get over 20grant a year (before tax )... after 3 years of doing it...
Well yes... you see the point.
You mean twenty-
grand. So you're telling me that you have spent
more than twenty
thousand dollars on computers, and you are
just a 15-year-old hockey referee?
Let me ask you again, you are a 15-year old hockey referee and work part-time, and you have spent in excess of
twenty thousand dollars on computer hardware? (namely your Fujitsu Tablet PC, your top-of-the-line G5 and your 4-CPU Pentium 4).
You make over $20,000 per annum, before tax, but you have worked for three years (
ever since you were twelve) - netting $60,000 BEFORE tax.
After tax, you would have less, correct? (Gross amount).
By my calculations, you would have had to work for
more than 3 years to be spending $20,000+ on computing hardware. Why? Because you do not "keep" every penny you earn, even without tax.
There is no way that you can have all of your earnings being 'saved', as you will need money for living expenses (hang on, you're only 15!). Nobody makes a certain amount per annum, pays their taxes (can you even be taxed if you're under 18?
) and you have only worked for three years.
I would like to believe you, but I don't.
I would question hiring a 12-year-old school boy (Year 6 kid), who wouldn't have any professional experience working as a referee in "big" games (you would be more or less a waterboy...
)
Even then, I wouldn't pay a child $20,000 to ref a few games. Congratulations, you are now the new "psycho_mushy"
