i cant explain it.

but i think its like half of the smallest decible figure or wateva

such as. 5.4 = 5.35 - 5.45 is what it realy could be

and 7.56 = 7.555 - 7.565

im not sure, but thats how ive been doig it

Does This Help????

The percentage error gives an indication of the accuracy of the measurement.

PE=absolute error / measurment x 100%

Absoloute error is half the precision, which is the smallest unit of measurment. Ie- if it was to 1cm then the absolute error is 0.5cm.

Does that help???

Eg. A measurement of 50cm to the nearest cm.

PE= 0.5 / 50 x 100%
= 1%

Let me know if you need more help k?

These are limits of accuracy.

Ok, let's say I measure something to be 250 mm, to the nearest mm.

Therefore the possible error is 0.5 mm.

Therefore % error = (0.5/250) x 100

= 0.2%

Basically, find the error in terms of measurement (i.e, mm, or m, or whatever) and divide it by the whole measurement, and then multiply that result by 100.
