Could be reading it wrong, but wouldn't it just be 8C5? Unless you have to take into account the repeating S and E...
Edit: no it's not 8C5, I'm working it out rn, gimme a bit

Just consider each case.
case 1: all the letters are different
case 2: repetition involving S
case 3 repetition involving R
case 4: repetition involving S and R

no repeating -- 5!
2E's, 0S - 5!/2!
2E's, 1S - 5!/2!
2E's, 2S's - 3C1 * 5!/(2!2!)
2E's, 3S's - 5!(2!3!)
3S's, 0E's - 5!/3!
3S's, 1E's - 5!/3!
3S's, 2E's - 5!/(3!2!)
i think you get the basic idea, not sure if i forgot some cases
