For physical journeys you mean, deffinately cross the red sea. For your second, it depends on what theme about journeys you are looking at.

They are. They all represent different factors of journeys.

These are the poems I'm doing:

Immigrants at Central Station, 1951:
  • The waiting and apprehension of what is to come
  • Impact of journeying on people
  • Feelings of actions (eg. sadness, regret, fears, etc., )

Feliks Skrzynecki:
  • Tribute to dignity and stoicissm in face of loss and hardship
  • Reminiscence (reliving the journeys)
  • Identifying and confirming one's self in new surroundings
  • Admiration and awe
  • Suffered but endured
  • Gains and losses though journey

Crossing the Red Sea:
  • Biblical allusion of the Israelites and their liberation from slavery and oppression
  • Journey and escape from war torn home (WWII - Europe 1949)
  • Journey of immigrants and its emotional impact on them
  • The allowing of reflection on the past (looking forward with hope)
  • A journey with hope and optimism
  • Endurance and perseverance of the human spirit

Migrant Hostel:
  • Primitive and hostile introductions to destination
  • Temporary stop in journey
  • General confusion (constantly in transition)
  • Disorientation, wandering, lost, etc.

Someone might wanna see if they're actually right though lol

I think they are all really shit for a journey. There is no specific beggining and end in most of them. They're dodge.

It is the process that is more important than the results...

For some journeys at least lol

I despise leaving home with a passion. i think it is the most self absorbed, trivial stupid poem of the collection. it really angers me!
Im doing
Crossing the red sea,
Felix Skrzynecki
Drive in the Country
Postcard
Immigrants at central station

Well hopefully not all of them but whatever relates.. prolly 3-4

i don't think i could do more then 2 poems
otherwise i couldn't go in as much detail about them
and my related text and one from the stimulus booklet
i figure if i do 2 in detail
thats better then 3 to 4 only slightly

OMG so nervous about this exam
i don't even know where i am meant to be for the exam

I'm doing Crossing the Red Sea, Migrant Hostel, Immigrants at Central Station (these three seem to be the easiest and when Skrzynecki came to our school at the start of the year he reccomended using these three), The Ivory Trail, Stand By Me (film) and Migrants Arrving in Sydney by David Moore (photo)

Is anyone else doing Stand By Me?

I'm scared they're gonna ask a ridiculously hard question lol
