Hey guys, i was just wondering see how you have to sit for the stat test in order to get into pharmacy, what happens if you dont achieve a high mark in the stat test, however achieve a high uai can you still get into the pharmacy. Also is syd uni the only uni that offers pharmacy?

Yes, according to the UAC Guide, I only see Pharmacy in Uni of Sydney ... Didnt see it anywhere else ...

Dont rely on UAC guides especially old ones, even last years. It changes so much every year. Charles Sturt university and UNSW offer Pharmacy aswell. UNSW if postgrad studies only

Yes, I'm first year USYD Pharmacy student--there is Charles Sturt and USYD. Seems like UNSW is post-graduate only--it certainly wasn't in the UAC guide for last year.

As far as I know, you must get that minimum STAT result, then your UAI determines whether you do normal, normal (DFEE), rural, or rural (DFEE). It's not hard to get the cut-off--if you have enough ability to get the kind of UAI required, STAT will be a relative pushover. It's 150/200--where 100 is 0% (just done to make people feel better), so you basically only need 50%.

I did my STAT test at the end of the year--2 weekends after my last exam actually, and you don't need to register this early! However, keep an eye out for the UAC Guide because I applied after receiving it, and it was all good.

heard that the stat test was pretty easy.. if ur fine at problem solvin, i guess it wont give u much trouble..

You can't get into pharmacy if you don't have the STAT score (minimum of 151, I think).

I'm also looking into doing pharmacy, and i know that QUT is offering it in Brisbane as well as University of Queensland, as well as Griffith Uni, And JAmes Cook Uni

There are some universities offering pharmacy from other states as well, if you're willing to go there.
