Say you are using an incadescent lightbulb to test the photoelectric effect with a data logger/photocell. As the light bulb heats up, would it emit more photons? why?

if the heat increase was a result of an increase in intensity of light (or other way around) then yes

if not then no

packets of energy (photons) come out of the material/atom/wateva u are using... this is because the heat from the light is hitting the atom and moving the electrons and changing its position in the shell... the movement will cause the exert of energy, in this case as a form of light...

Photocurrent would increase as a result from the increase in the brightness of the light bulb. Noted that the voltage of the photocell should not change.
