I checked out the physical journey definition posted by ujuphleg... and I was wondering if there was an even more concise definition of a physical journey, yet still wordy and sophisticated enough to explain the definition thoroughly (besides the one from BOS). It would be greatly appreciated!!

This is the one i used. [it was from around 5 places, and my teachers definition]

-All types of journeys expand ones understanding of themselves, of the individual and of the world.
-Our identities are constructed by and through the journeys we undertake.
-Physical journeys involve different types of obstacles and movement to new places.
-The traveller extends themselves physically, intellectually and emotionally.
-It isn’t just about the journey from A to B, but about what occurs on this journey.
-Physical journeys is about growth, change, learning, overcoming obstacles and about an individual developing and finding his place in the world.

I'm having trouble with finding which supplementary text i should use for physical journeys.. do you reccommend "Beauty and the Beast" and "The chronicles of Narnia"?
Would that be suitable for physical journeys??

From the two "The Chronicles of Narnia" woul probably be better.

I used LOTR and She's leaving home.

There is a variety of different sources for PJ which may help you in different sources :)

Thankyou so much for the advice!
But according to my teacher she says "The Chronicles of Narnia" is more like inner/ imaginative journey.
So using your advice i think i'll use LOTR and She's Leaving home.
However, do you have any notes you'll like to give me to start me off please?
Thanks a million! xx

Sorry I deleted ALL my notes other than my essay which is somewhere on this forum ...

1) http://www.boredofstudies.org/view.php?course=31 -Check the Stimulus booklet part, and the PJ essays/notes
2) http://community.boredofstudies.org/2589000/post-10.html -This ones mine, but without the related material, coz i didnt type it out...

For LOTR, you could use the DVD, it should have the behind the scenes, or how the movie was made, and you could use that for your techniques. Or if you want to do the book, you could just pick around 3-5 techniques and talk about them. My teacher told us that we could use the maps, in the book.

LORT context - http://www.sparknotes.com/lit/returnking/context.html -for this one you could use it for the temes, and check each chapter, themes, charaters etc

Also read, http://community.boredofstudies.org/496825/post-6.html

For She's Leaving Home there isnt much techniques, like theres repetition, and rhetorical questions, and there was the point of view, the girls perspective, and mothers, umm..tone.And the stazas. Thats about all i could remember. But ther isnt much information on the song

Anyways i hope that helps.
