see your coordinator and ask whether you could change.
if you cant take up physics, then see whether you have enough units to drop just geography

Ye, should be possible, with some extra study you should catch up on no time (assuming you class has only done the waves and electricity topic) both of them are straight forward.

you should be able to change if you prove that you are dedicated enough

Yeah, because wanting to change subjects when the times get tough totally shows dedication.

trust me, if our teacher actually turned up to class on time, and actually taught us any of the syllabus, i would want to keep geography.

There will always be bad teachers.

I would probably stick with geo and work independently to cover the syllabus.
However i do find that humanities subjects are harder to learn independently (for me anyway).

Physics is not an easy subject, especially to catch up on. That being said, the topics in prelim physics are completely unrelated (unlike chemistry for example), so 1 topic would not be a foundation of the other. Not sure about the relevency on year 12 topics.

i think thats the best option. and thats what i said to the subject-changes teacher, but she said its not practical to teach it yourself, but i'll give it a go anyway...
