How to study for prac test?

Hey... anyone knows where to get a physics practical manual?

I need the answers as well...

the prac book he's given us is what i call the ultimate in crap.. no answers, bad layout... grrrr... got a 37% for my prac test... worst. result. ever. (the teacher told us not to study, and anyways, the prac book had nothing in it to study :S)

So yep, I need a prac book to improve.

Just a clue. If a teacher says don't study, do it anyway. They lie.
I'd say you're lucky though! At least you're given something.
My class has to write up all our own pracs, we get given the aim and that's it. We get TOLD how to do the prac but we have to write up the method, results, conclusion, etc.
But I have no idea where you'd find what you're looking for.

Okayz... How do you study for a prac test?

It seems to be a secret
I mean, that prac test seriously messed me up. I was comming in the top 3 before it.. now i'm 15th in the class... ARG !!!

Any advice, tips, methods.... will be very helpful... thanks!!!

if it a prac that uve alredy dun.. just no the aim.. then the method should just pop up in ur head.. in the test.. or u can study that as well... the teacher is just finding out if u no the purpose of the experiment i.e aim, the result, i.e result and the conclusion

What if we have a stupid teacher that makes no sense? I need a way to study all the pracs alone and end up getting a good grade (higher than 90 percent)

We rarely get the prac done at school... only like 3 lessons max for pac work.

i'm basically doing the physics course at home with no help from the teacher.

textbooks should have the pracs u need to do in there (ie jacaranda). its just missing the discussion but there's questions in there to help u write it up.. which should be easy if u understand all the theory

the only other skills u'd need for a prac exam are basic calculation skills and being able to identify the variables, errors in the experiments as well as ways to improve it x)

also just read over the pracs u'v done in class, it could always require those skills u'v previously performed....~ but reading over textbooks and stuff and knoing ur formulas definitely helps

Yeah, i think i know what you mean.

But I can't really do much about the class thing, except maybe try actually doing the prac, but it's still not enough. Class is very crap. Our teacher does a simple problem 10 times before getting it right... he needs help...

know your pracs. what/how/why.

what you prac is suppose to demonstrate.
how your pracs work (method).
why it works (analysis/theory behind prac)

don't forget accuracy, reliability and validity.
