please tell me the scaling wont be shitty like 2022 for no apparent reason, even though 2022 wasn't much easier than every other years

Does anyone know the solution to 29b? Different masses seems obvious but the question specifically states that mass is negligible.
The fact a bunch of people got stumped on this question shows that I really deserved a band fucking 6.

This question is legit surface level third law application. How are yall so dumb (I got 5/6 for this, only cause of part A)

the authors of the marking guidelines are genuinely retarded, like 85 IQ retarded. im pretty sure one of the first things you learn is that the kinematic equations are only applicable for constant acceleration. this scenario obviously doesn't fucking present a constant acceleration situation since as the rods seperate, the acceleration becomes less as force between the rods becomes less.

Once again, the authors of marking guidelines lack actual knowledge of physics and are just spamming random formulas for the sake of it.
