Someone move this if I've posted it in the wrong spot.

Anyway, I haven't noticed a thread about this yet and thought I'd make one. I was speaking yesterday to my best friend who's Chilean, and her family is pretty pissed that he died before justice could be served to him. I have to say I agree.
What are your thoughts, if any, on the former dictator now that he's gone?

He freed Chile from the talons of socialism and the left, he turned a socialist basketcase into a South American powerhouse, this man is worthy of at least some praise, and unless you were a socialist, your human rights were in no danger, which is fine since socialism is the most murderous and oppressive political ideology on the face of the planet, the death of a socialist brings a net benefit to humanity.
