i got theta = pi/6, 5pi/6

the answer for t = 45.4334... meaning that during the 46th year it reached 30 million meaning in the year 2037. If you sub in 45 and 46 into the equation you will see that the population for 45 is slightly under 30 million and hence it doesnt reach 30 million in 2036

Im sure that would be a common error but the .4 meant that the it occured after the 45th year. Perhaps BoS will be lenient with those types of questions

nah, coz sin ^3 theta is the same as (sin theta) ^3, so thats just like if you had x^3=1/8 , then x would = 1/2

just use the fact that tan0 = cos0/sin0 and cosec = 1/sin0

thus, 8sin0cos0(cos0/sin0)=1/sin0
