if you wrap iron in copper, the middle bits will be blue and the outside bits are red beceause copper is lower than iron in the standard potential table

rights??

but if you wrap iron in zinc, then the outside will be blue and inside will be red because zinc is higher on the potential table...right??

please correct me if I'm wrong....and fast coz I has a presentation for trial tomorrow...

thanx people

in soviet RUSSIA, potential table is higher than ZINC!

Okay, assuming you are using the same agar as us...
The indicator potassium hexacyanoferrate will turn the yellow agar BLUE, indicating OXIDATION of iron, and phenopalein (still can't spell that), will turn the yellow agar PINK, indicating REDUCTION.
So, for more active zinc I also think it turned pink, because there was reduced corrosion. And, for less active copper I think it turned blue too, because it became a more effective cathodic site...
Goodluck!
