It would actually be more useful to know how many are in the class, rather than the mark...I mean, coming 1st out of 2 people is a lot different than coming first out of 50 people.

But from the looks of it, I reckon youcan definately get 80+ with that.

does ranking really IMPACT that much? IN SKOOL

what if someone did poorly in their INTERNAL assessments, and did not rank good average or below average, but did good in their EXTERNAL assessments and averaged 70's-80's...

wouldn't this ensure the candidate to achieve reasonable marks say for example the candidate did same subjects as this person posting, is the candidate able to get ok uai over 70?

You can find answers by reading through some of the sticky threads in this forum.

For example:
"Explanation of HSC Marks"
"How does scaling work? READ!"
"Does My Mark/rank At School Affect My Hsc Marks? Read!"

If you still have questions after doing so, post again.

is too complicated

it only said 1st students will get the highest mark

out of my knowledge, .. what if the student doesnt come first but below average, average, above average what happens then?

You do know we might be of some more help, if you gave us ... the number of students doing each subject, how many people achieved 90+ UAI last year... etc.

Oh, look, I wrote an answer to that exact same question in one of those moderating threads just the other day... do a search if you must (there's a button in the top-right corner)... please don't make me find it for you.

Based on the extra information, I don't see why you can't get 80+ for a UAI. But it's really up to you to perform in the subjects your Ranked 1 in. :)
