hey guys for this syllabus point for "sacred writings and stories"
the various ways in which sacred writings and stories from 2 religions traditions give support and guidance in two of the following
ritual use
ethical justification and source
direction for spiritual life
gender roles and functions

i choose to do for 1 of them "ethical justification and source" is it true that i have to discuss 2 topics e.g. homosexuality and fornication for that or not.

thanks

You need to pick 2 from the list i.e ritual use and ethical justification & source and give reference to 2 religious traditions i.e Christianity and Judaism. So your summary/notes should go something like this (depending on what 2 you choose)

- Ritual Use
*Christianity
*Judaism
- Ethical Justification and Source
*Christianity
*Judaism

If you need any more help, just ask

yea i understand that, and i picked "ethical justification and source" as for one of them, but i am asking do i have to discuss 2 sub-topics within this eg. islams and judism's view on homosexulity, for example. cause thats what some1 told me 2 do and i am not sure if its correct

thanks

I don't think that you have to do that, but it's always good to compare and contrast Religious Traditions (an integrated essay). If you just talk about ethical justification and source in Islam and Judaism (with relation to the sacred texts) you'll be fine.. Just remember to talk about variants and give decent quotes...

So for Judaism talk about the 10 Commandments, 613 Mitzvot, Halachah etc... Not sure with Islam because I don't do that..
