how would i find the points of intersection of y=sin^-1(x) and y=tan^-1(x)?

I'd suggest to draw a quick sketch of the circumstance.

Then you would need to convert either inverse sine or inverse tan to inverse tan or inverse sine (basically match them up via a right angle triangle).

Then solve the matching arguments and find the x values that satisfy them.
