I was just wondering if anyone can please tell me what an "even monic polynomial" is (i know what monic means, but I'm not sure what they mean by even).
Thanks

P(x) is even if:
P(-x)=P(x)

p(x) is an even monic polynomial, if it's monic (the coefficient of the highest power of x is 1) and even (p(x) only contains even powers of x, or equivalently p(x) = p(-x))

e.g. x^6 + 3x^2 + 1 is an even monic polynomial.
3x^4 + x^2 is even, but not monic.
x^3 + 5x^2 + 2 is monic, but not even.
5x^5 + x^3 + 3x^2 is neither monic nor even.

Jaydel asks a question. Redrum and Trefoil answer that question. Wogboy answers a question that wasn't asked. Affinity corrects Wogboy with a correct but complex explantion even though wogboy wasn't incorrect, wogboy then corrects Affinity even the affinity wasn't incorrect.

Nice work guys. :p
