It's all about the sandstone. It's the closest we've got to ivy league in sydney and it's the oldest university of course.

Yea, true. It's ironic to think that 45 years ago UNSW was only new and it was almost seen as "inferior" to USyd, yet in this short space of time UNSW has managed to catch up and is on par with, if not better than, USyd in some courses. Albeit, USyd does perform better than UNSW in some areas as well.
