popups, homepage changed, all that (1 Viewer)

my homepage has been changed to

defaulthomepagenetwork. whatever
and it makes heaps of popups come up

i installed hijack this, pressed to scan, and then put the 2 which looked like they were from hijack network on block

the virus checker says it can't fix the files, i might go and try to download something from there next

has anyone had the same problems?


edit: i just changed the homepage to google and it's working fine, but there is no dobut spyware on the computer

use spybot, u'll prolly find some program took advantage of some ie security hole. And look for recent exe. or dll. files in ur system directory, ur windows directory, and new folders in ur program files directory.

i had to clean my comp up last week.. i can get rid of most of them... in the end i just couldnt be bothered and installed netscape.

adaware is acctually better than spybot, as in gets rid of more shit

yeah...well i used both- and it got rid of my problems!

btw- i used spybot to lock the internet options (in internet explorer) and now i can't unlock it anymore!!

Ad-Aware, Spybot, HiJackThis, CWShredder.

if those 4 don't work (assuming you know how to use them)

I didn't see the thread there because i scanned over it when i saw IT at the start, maybe more people would see it if the F was at the start

well the main reason ppl. don't see it is that ppl. in general always ignore the stickies!!!
