given that there r 2 angles for a particle to hit the top of a wall,
2 for hitting the bottom of the wall as well.....

if u r asked to find the range of the angles for the particle to hit th wall, they r all projected with the same speed..
1 of my friends says that it should be between the biggest and the smallest, (angle 1 ~ angle 4)
but another says that there r actually 2 sets of answer, 1~3, 2~4, indicated as the green region...

i m so confused, which should i trust:confused:

If you make it into a cartesian equation, and equate y=0, that will be where it hits the bottom of the wall. Were you given ANY information?

eh,i cant actually remember the Q, but the previous parts r just to ask u find the cartesian equation, and then find that 4 angles......

Yeah well there will be two angles for each. 45o is the angle that gets you max range, all the other ranges will have two angles, spaced equally on either side of the 45 line. 40o and 50o for example, will bring the same range.
