Anything which can produce pleasure in a person can become addictive, yes.. but of course for a full definition I'd say it'd be much more complicated.what you are saying is that anything you do, any activity or any substance can be addictive.
I agree, don't think I'm anti-porn or something because I'm far from it... I'm just explaining that it's fair enough to say people can get addicted to looking at porn and such addictions can be at least somewhat similar to addictions to hard drugs. The problem isnt with the activity, its with the person.
But I believe if you look at the physiological response of a compulsive gambler in many ways the rush they feel from gambling is at least somewhat similar to what a drug addict feels when they are given their drug -- Or perhaps, the feeling they feel when they are away from gambling is similar to the feeling a drug addict feels away from the drug.if a substance is not chemically addictive than i say that doing the activity is more of a habit than an addictive compulsion.
I love hardcore pornography, so no.Wether you think porn is addictive or not [and i say it would be difficult for you to know, being a female and all] you cant honnestly think that banning it is the right thing? people get "addicted" to eating food, should we ban that too? As free people in a free country we have a right to do things like this, and the government is being intrusive in trying to legislate against it. Its also hard for politicians to oppose this, because porn and masturbation are still seen as a sort of closed doors topic, no politican wants to admit he looks at porn even though all of them do.
