Also, its much more difficult to improve in the 99-100 range. i.e. its really difficult to get from 99.1 to say 99.9 as opposed to 92 to 95. So if someone with 99+ is crying, let them and don't say "look at the ppl around you" - do you really think they have no idea about how worse other ppl did? of course they do, but they are bitter coz they did worse than expecations and may have missed out on comm/law if they got less than 99.55 OR they may have missed out on a late round offer for medicine even if they got more than 99.55. If you havnt already guessed by now im one of those bitter what you call "elitist" ppl tho i dont think im elitist at all:

All in all, it's just a number...where many people actually believe that it's because of THAT that determines where they head towards in life. For some people, they just have too much of a high expectation on themselves in which they just can't reach. They have to admit that to themselves eventhough it may be degrading.

It's under Elite Performers Scheme. It doesn't add 5 points to your UAI, it just means you can get into most courses that are 5 points above what you got. The idea behind it is that if you weren't gallavanting around representing the nation, that you would have had more time to study, and got higher marks. I think five points is too much, but I'm not complaining!

Congrats to everyone so far--whether down to the 30s (don't think anything that low has been posted yet?) up to Virtual with a well deserved UAI of 100, you have gotten to the end of your 13 years of schooling and should be proud of it. There's always alternate courses and ways. And many people with lower UAIs in a course end up pawning those with higher UAIs.

Back to the topic:

- One family friend got a UAI of 64, aiming to do UWS Business, but he's a good person, so it will take him far in life
- Another family friend didn't specify--bit upset I think--but he's aiming to do UWS Health Science, and perhaps transfer into physio but he's still thinking it through. But he was glad he made the cut-off for UWS so that he doesn't need to go to Canberra!

98, exactly. (Highest in Moorebank High's history) I'm quite interested how this works UAI thing works.

I scored 50/50 for extension 2 english and 49/50 for history extension - ranked 2nd in the State. But man, my school dragged me down for sciences. 42 people did biology, not one band 6. Do I dare say more? I decided to get a re-count on the sciences that pulled my UAI down - plain humanities, I think I would of hit 99+ without a doubt.

SO does that Ahahahaha nice going steven. Maybe ANU will still take you with that state ranking for history extension

yerp jsut checked it on the net, hmm ive been playing some state tennis competition, but maybe not excessively to hinder my uai too radically. nevertheless i need that .2 more to get wher ei want
