Re: Post your system specs

meh i needed a new laptop, and family laptop was dying, my old one was too embarassingly loud when i took it to uni.

this one quieter and runs better.
i just gotta buy a coolingpad to prolong the life of the thermal paste so it lasts more than 2 years.

Re: Post your system specs

Yeh, they said it will be better graphic quality but lower system requirements. They said this in like March last year though so not sure whether it's changed.

Re: Post your system specs

i'd say multiplat would ruin it, but crysis 1 was already boring anyways.

s.t.a.l.k.e.r. 2 will be multiplat, and THAT will be ruined :(

meh i dont think it'll be ruined imo. the first crysis was nothing except generic fps with pretty graphics, there isn't really much to be ruined by passing it onto consoles.

Wtf is multiplat? (Yes I tried googlin')

Also Crysis was great (imo) especially cos it was so fun to fuck with the retarded AI of the koreans.
I am surprised how many times I replayed it (up until the 1/2 way bit where aliens came in, they take too many shots to kill and it just becomes really shit from then on).

Re: Post your system specs

uhh why? imo you just need to upgrade your cpu and video card for better performance in most of the games that are out these days

unless you want to play crysis 2.
idk coz i love faster systems :p
apparently my motherboard doesnt support core i7, only supports core 2 duo and quad....

multiplat is short for multiplatform i.e. not exclusive to one console. that is crysis 2 will be available on pc as well as ps3 and 360

Re: Post your system specs

Thing is, even the low-end C2Qs (Q8200) are still $300, it would be better to just upgrade completely.
core 2 quads are pointless, its better to upgrade to a better core 2 duo, esp e7500.

or maybe just upgrade the system as a whole, like what ohexploitable stated...
but yeah, maybe get a new motherboard that can support core i7 or an upcoming processor that's better...

Re: Post your system specs

Well, for the price of an E7500 you could get a cheap AM3 motherboard and CPU which would be faster and allow for upgrade to a Phenom II.
