enculturation – basically..it's socialisation..

acculturation – adopting values and beliefs from another culture..like when a country is colonised, values or beliefs of the colonial power will be instilled into the invaded country..

do they include any prelim stuff in these 1st few questions?
From the past few HSC papers, it looks like the examiners expect you to know some preliminary stuffs. So go back to some prelim syllabus and have a look at some of the terminologies like acculturation.

Acculturation is the process of contacts between different cultures and also the outcome of such contacts. it may invovle direct social interaction or exposure to other cultures through mass media.

Enculturation is the idea that to be a full member of a culture or sub-culture, individuals have to learn to use, formally and informally, the patterns of cultural behaviour prescribed by that culture.

I'm glad someone actually attempted my prediction questions. haha.

i might be completely wrong but just from memory,Homogenous means one distinct culture within a society, for example within Bali, however Hybrid is many different cultures within one society, for example australia as we are multicultural.

Am i right? or is it the other way around? I didnt get that out of a book :p

EVERYONE hopes it's easy. we're just trying to make it easier for ourselves to come up with possible questions so that we're prepared! :)
