You know for the dot point which requires you to know about a person working in a particular branch of chemistry and what principle they use?

My example is:

John Smith is a production chemist at a plant which produces ammonia through the Haber process. The branch of chemistry that he undertakes is analytical chemistry which involves the analysis of the chemical contents of substances and mixtures. A chemical principle that John will employ is that of solubility as he uses gas-liquid chromatography to identify the substances present as the gas is passed over a liquid stationary phase. If the ratio of nitrogen to hydrogen is not roughly 1:3, efficiency may be reduced. In addition, if carbon monoxide or sulfur is present, the catalyst may be poisoned, resulting in the need for it to be replaced.

Maybe i should change the verb to identify. I don't think we have to know it but it consists of TiCl3/TiCl4 and a triaklyaluminium e.g. Al(C2H5)3

How many products/polymers do you know? I'm referring to these two dotpoints:
- identify ethylene, because of its double bond, is readily transformed into many useful products
- identify ethylene as a monomer from which polymers are made

I feel like I'm underprepared (only knowing basic 4: LDPE, HDPE, PVC, polystyrene)

- identify ethylene as a monomer from which polymers are made

I feel like I'm underprepared (only knowing basic 4: LDPE, HDPE, PVC, polystyrene)

They're the only 4 you're supposed to know.
For the 4, you are supposed to know their common and systematic name, 2 uses with 2 related properties.

Also remember hydrogenation, hydration and halogenation?
