hiya guys, this is my very first post (thought ud like to noe ... lol)

Anyhoo, i have an oral assessment on the Joyce (who incase u didnt know sorta hard to read! ;-( ....) and we have to explore the bildungsroman style of the novel and how the stream of conciousness is effective in the context of the novel.

We have to analyse separate portraits. Firstly, im jst wondering if anyone has any views on the conformity and constraints of of his innate Irish nationalism and devout Catholicism and how it affects the growth of the Artist within?

Secondly, wat do u guys make out of ur reading of Joyce? It's my first time reading it, and i think its important to note that Joyce is a shared experience ... It's like Joyce is a mirror and is open to ur personal interpretation (... sorta like Hemingway's Iceberg theory ... u noe reveal minimal detail and the Rudy principle) ... anyhoo itll be kewl if u shared ur views!

Thanks!
