hey guys i need help with a 'take home prac' thingy, here it is:

conduct an open ended investigation and present a written report. this involves thinking of a problem, researching it,planning and conducting your own investigation, solving problems, analysing your results and presenting a report of your investigation.

any ideas waht i can do. Supposedly, it has to relate to physics (prelim) and the topics of the sylllabus.

that is so board it's hmmmm i can't even find a word to compare it to

open up your textbook.....find a topc which you like and do that

for me the only thing which i still remember from the prelim course which i was half interested in was fibre optics

PS: don't expect any one of us to do the assignment for you..ie, research and making up ideas...that's your work

I agree with redslert, open your text book to a part of the course you like, fine something which you can do an experiment on, and do it and ta da...

I'd suggest doing something investigating the effects of motion. Like have a small wheeled trolley and make it go down a ramp and crash into a larger one and record how much each moved. Then reverse the experiment.

uhm sounded like BHP... that research asgmt i did in yr 10 or 9 @@

anywayz... collision/ momentum things are quite cool...
