Okay I'm confused, my teacher said that most subjects (save like maths) are only restricted to the HSC course when it comes to the HSC exam? But then, my friend at Baulko, said his teachers said they can ask some prelim questions? Like in the multiple choice or something? What is it?

All of preliminary is considered assumed knowledge so I guess it can be tested.

Usually, a maximum of 20% can be asked in HSC but generally, they almost totally test on HSC content.

Theoretically they can. But sometimes they amalgamate some Preliminary concepts depending on your subjects. But by right, most of the paper should be HSC content except for Maths.
