For some exams like genral maths we have been advised that the exam will be hsc structured like our half yearlys and it will contain all the topics studied evenly accross the year. However for other subjects like business studies our teacher advised that the exams content will be; 10% 1st semester (half of the year). and 90% 2nd semseter (half of the year). Are all subjects like this with math being the exclusion? And will the HSC's Trials(yearlys) be of a similar structure?

It depends on which subject. For example, in the 3unit maths yearlies, expect a lot more extension questions (defined as # "E" by the syllabus) than previous 3unit maths tests. But for all subjects a broad understanding is quite essential because the first topics build on the later ones.

The HSC trials will not be in that structure as long as you've finished that particular subject and if your teacher is using external exams (nevertheless, if they make up their own exams I'd say it'd be equally probable that you'd get content from the beginning of the year as you would content from towards the end). You'd be at a disadvantage if your teacher were to structure your exams as such that close to the HSC, seeing as the HSC exams can be based on anything you've studied.
