Question 1
In an experiment 100 ml of 1.0 M sodium hydroxide solution at 21C was added to 100 ml of 1.0 M phosphoric acid (H3PO4) in a calorimeter to produce the salt, sodium dihydrogen phosphate (NaH2PO4), and water. There was an increase in temperature of 5.8C. The density of the solutions are 1.0 gml -1.
a) can do this : Write a balanced equation for this reaction
b) CANT DO THIS: Calculate the moles of sodium dihydrogen phosphate formed in the reaction
QUESTION 2
A solution of silver nitrate contains 8.50 g of silver nitrate per litre of solution. A 0.010 molL-1 calcium chloride solution is added to 100 ml of the silver nitrate solution until precipitation of silver chloride is complete. What mass of silver chloride is precipitated?
Thank you for your help.
