I just wanted 2 know. Do other students out there have the pressure of living up to the "parentals" and their standards. or even their teachers. I mean all my teachers constantly say to me "we expect band 6 off you and nothing less" but in reality dont they realise they are just further adding pressure to me? ermmm well sometimes it just gets to that stage where 90+ and above in an assessment which is quite common for me just isnt good enough. Just wanted 2 know other peoples ideas and thoughts.

everyone gets pressures from their teachers, some teachers just layer on the pressure alot thicker than others.

one of my teachers is a bit like that saying the whole 'i expect so much from you all as a group' and what not. yeah it stresses us out, but it also pisses us off sometimes, to the point where we want to go really bad just to piss the teacher off just to go, well you cant expect everything sort of thing.

i guess a bit lot of it depends on how you cope with the pressure.
i try to use it as fuel to motivate me, even if my teachers expect average marks i use that to go better.

just try not to let it stress you out too much, and remember your not alone =]

Definately not alone. Take the pressure, and turn it into something useful :uhhuh:

just treat the hsc as a rehearsel on how to cope with pressure, because once you enter the real work, pressure is going to be with you all the time whether you like it or not
thats inevitable, and that depends on how you deal with it...some people thrive under pressure, others just collapse
