Hey everyone, I'm reading Princess Bride at the moment, and it's absolutely lovely, but I (unfortunately) have to do some analysing of it for English, anyone who's read the book want to offer some suggestions?

It's wonderful and romantic and witty, but I don't really know what the point of the book is.. maybe it's just meant to be a spoof, in which case it's done a pretty good job.. but I'm not sure.

Actually it kind of reminds me of Terry Pratchet (don't lynch me, I don't really like his stuff :p)

Any suggestions would be good, thankyou so much.

I totally loved that book, wish i got to study it!

If you're having problems understanding any of the key ideas (a parallel between fantasy and reality - shown through the two disconnected plots (boy and grandfather and fictional story) and how they infact relate (the boys growing acceptance)), give the movie a go. its relatively accurate to the book and is a bit clearer in analysing the characters.
Have fun :)
