why would they watch it in the first place. they are little kids for god sake.
I don't understand and am disgusted by many people's sexual preferences. I may find the idea of two men having sex revolting, but to each their own.

Sexual preferences are what they are, they aren't chosen and it's not healthy to suppress them.

Something being revolting isn't reason to criminalize it.

would you like it if someone videoed you having sexual releations when you were a child, i dont think so
No I wouldn't like it. Being unable to give consent, that would be a violation of my person. Which is why producers should be prosecuted.

This is the kind of thing that is not said often enough in the public or private spheres.

People who get off from little kids - however torrid it seems to us - are usually born like this, just as people are born gay, straight, etc.

Think if your father or uncle had these persuasions. It can't be helped if people wanna watch it, what can be helped is the production, where the violations of children really occur.

But I suppose this brings up another question - if the availability of child porn is greatly reduced, will previous consumers turn into predators to satisfy their (usually) unstoppable urges?

havent read the thread, nor am I.

but the right to vote IMO, isnt a right, its a privilege, and one that is given away far to easily to people that dont want it (many people), people that dont deserve it (criminals) and people that dont know what to do with it (16 y/o's).

criminals shouldnt be able to vote. voting is a way of contributing to society in a constructive way. criminals are, by definition, counteracting this notion, ergo they should lose the right to vote (at the very most, 1 minor criminal charge before loss of voting rights)

P.O.I.

16 year olds can't vote.

Incidentally, is there a way to get out of voting, i.e. if you're like Freedom and think voting is a waste of time?

its called the news
a recent example of this was Dennis Ferguson
pretty sure it was like his 6th or 7th accusation of child molestation and he was found not guilty, released and then moved next to a school. Guess what happened?
not too long later he was found stalking the young kids who attended the school.
He cant be re habilited, nor does he deserve the chance. He is a disgusting man who has ruined peoples lives just like everyother rapist and paedophile. So your going to tell me after ruining so many peoples live we should help them? i dont think so. They deserve to suffer just like they have made other people.
A negligible fraction of consumers are contact offenders. What about the link between increased availability of pornography and decreased levels of rape?

Surely if this policy would stop the rape of just a single child, it would be a success? Or do you want to increase the level of children molested instead?

If you are going to be taxed then voting becomes a right.

No, the population just isn't well educated enough. If everyone had an economics degree then John Howard would still be in power

What manner of society do we live in where the simple, gentle act of loving another human being attracts the worst of punishment?

Economics as taught in university is fucking bullshit. We'd probably be worse off if everyone had an economics degree. A key part of Howards support base was small business people who probably have a better understanding of the economy. Meanwhile public servent with cushy jobs who contribute nothing to the economy overwhealmingly vote labor.

when the gentle act turns from consensual and recipricated love
to forced and unrequieted
