I HAVE A ASSESMENT TASK DUE MONDAY 20TH ON PRISIONERS RIGHTS

  • I HAVE 2 DESCRIBE THE ISSUE AND HISTORY
  • EXPLAIN PROBLEMS IN THE CRIMINAL JUSTICE SYSTEM IN REGARDS TO THE ISSUE
  • HOW PROBLEMS DEVELOPED
  • EXPLAIN POSSIBLE REFORMS
IF ANY 1 COULD HELP PLLLLLZZZZZ LINKS N ANY INFO WOULD BE MUCH APPRECIATED

P.S ITS SO HARD 2 FIND AUSTRALIAN LAW INFO ON THE NET ITS CRAZY :rofl:

some prisoners rights:
*right of silence
*right to be taken before a justice or be released on bail
*right to be told to the right of silence
*The police usually allow a suspect to obtain legal advice, but this is not a right.
*legal representation- a de facto right (Dietrich v Queen 1992)

regarding the other questions, you should do some research and formulate your own opinion about the issue and answer with reference to legislation, cases, media reports and documents.
