no the teacher changed some of the questions so that the test includes common content with the new syllabus, but still adds up to 100 marks in the end
I've seen papers with gas stuff, it seems to only really be in 2019 papers (you'll find 2019 papers are more written response-focused hanging over from the old syllabus and a bit harder) so I wouldn't stress it too much but yeah just use PV=nRT. Technically they can ask you yr11 stuff but usually they won't, barring stuff that carries over like moles, concentration, enthalpy, entropy etc
Also I wouldn't recommend old papers even if its only the new syllabus parts, since the way some topics are assessed has changed significantly, and old papers require a lot more rote-y sorta stuff that isn't required anymore

yeah i thought the sm but my teacher said it was useful to do them anyways bc past students had a lot of shortfalls on things like major and minor products, reaction pathways etc

ive literally done one- yesterday my first ever one....theyre fine, prob one of the better quality commerical papers though theyre kinda easy

oh my god??? if u dont get 100% on ur trials im hunting u down, how tf have u done all these
ive just done one a week since january (barring assessment periods etc), its not as much as u think when its spaced over so much time.
i doubt ill get 100% on trials, im usually only averaging around 97 lately (never gotten above 99) but its kinda hard to judge content responses, ive got my teacher to mark a few but theres always the possibility of some annoying particular requirement in the criteria in the actyal exam + most of the papers ive done have been pretty easy relatively

most papers for chem trials take like 2 and a bit hours right?
i mean ive only done one lmaoo but thats how long it took me and this was with me talking abt random shit with my friends while on vc doing it
it depends a lot on the paper, for easier papers i can get them done in well under 2 hours but for papers with more wordy responses i sometimes take as long as 2 and a half hours. the thing with sciences is u dont have to rush them, because realistically youre always gonna have plenty of time to check ur answers, but its better to take things relatively slow so you dont make mistakes and end up with higher quality long responses
also im impressed you can talk on vc while doing a paper, ive tried studying in vc but i just get nothing done lmao i cant multitask
