x = ucos@ t
y = -gt<sup>2</sup>/2 + usin@ t where u is the initial velocity.

I find it easyish.....cos i do physics, so i do it the physics way....i really cant do the maths way.....ukno the long stupid formulas and intergration.......its confusing!
I hope we get to choose our own method of calculation cos i prefer the easy physics formulas like sub str8 into s=ut+ 1/2at^2

FUNKYCHICKIE AND KINIMINI:
do u really hafta do it the maths way?
"forbidden" sounds scary :)
BUT my teacher said u CAN do it the physics way......altho i cant find the physics way in ne maths tx bk.
She also taught us the physics way too................
please tell me u can use the physics way..............
I gotta check now :(

ezzy - thats the way to do it.

physics formulas suck compared to doing it the maths way. if you learn the maths way, physics will be faster and you dont need to remember any formulas or look at the formula sheet even.
Trying to do maths projectiles with physics formulas is stupid, since they will most likely ask for your derivations anyway.

btw ezzy - the two basic equations are
X-acceleration = 0
Y-acceleration = -g
Just keep integrating to get velocities and displacements.

The main eqn you will use for 3U (Cartesian Eqn of Motion) is when you solve y-displacement for time = x/(Vcos@)

Apparently, u definately cant use physics formulae in maths exams coz they're not in the syllabus. My maths teacher (who apparently has "connections" with the HSC marking board) said that people last yr who used physics in their answer got it wrong. which sucks coz i prefer them to all this integration crap (does any1 else get confused between differentiating and integrating??).

Hey ppl, i do 2 unit (mathematics) rite. I also do Physics. What i want 2 no is how different is the stuff i learn in physics to what is in extension maths?

The 3u Fitzpatrick has some really good questions...

If you can get most/all of the questions in there, your set...

Its got pretty good expanations too...
