Can we just use R=v²sin2@\g?
if ur not given it, or do u have to derive it first?

Otherwise the entire projectile motion topic would degenerate into remembering 30 odd formulas, which doesn't promote the slightest amount of understanding of the topic.

A lot of people make mistakes by remembering formulas and getting them wrong when the projectile starts from a point above the ground.

if u dont wanna derive it, is it really worth doing ext one. The deriving is worth big marks (an everage question seems to be about 4-5 marks). Besides, by deriving, there are other things that may need to be answered that you will come across.

im not not deriving it, i saw the equation in a text book and was just wondering..
i always do it from da basics:)

well most the questiosn say show that the range is...

so u cant really just throw the equation in.

It was in 2004 HSC Q6 b i i think... 2 marks.
