What course are you doing? Because often that comes into play. If you are doing something that is like graphic designing or software engineering, people often turn to Macbooks for their superior performance in those areas. That said, it is up to you and your needs. It is a very good price though :)
Graphic design wise it makes very little to no difference, it used to, because of the old chips, but that was lost with the move to the Intel chips. Its a perception now, and one not really warranted.

thanks everyone for the input, really appreciate it. I guess i wont be getting that laptop though cos i want to be able to play atleast some games. Im doing B.Com course so i guess i wont be needing the comp that much, just need something to replace my 6 yr old desktop.

How can u tell that the laptop is not suited for games. Is it heavily based on the graphic games? I want to be able to play WoW without lagging atleast.
what about this computer, the graphix card arnt too bad aint it?

Not on Vista you won't be playing it comfortably, the shared video is whats killing that system. Go for the Dell XPS M1330 if you want to comfortably play games and do some other stuff.

Expecting anything useful from rudd is just a plain misconception.
