actually, how do u prove nCr by induction? I got to step 3 and found that its impossible to proceed (for me :p) without using either the definition of nCr (choosing n from r etc) or the algebraic expression for nCr, which is what ur trying to prove in the first place.

we did combinations/permutations very late in the yr.

i saw induction (which ive done) but then nCr confused me
