LoL

i read some game reviews on www.ign.com
and everytime I click on a review, initially, an ad comes up and it says some shit like "join the army, proud defenders of america, to blow evil away"
then wen I play the gamevideos, the video goes for 2 minutes, the 1st minute being some crap rambling on how ppl should join the army.

Like GeEz, dont have to put propaganda all over the fuckin place
thank GOd, they dont do it here in australia

Actually the army advertises for new recruits here. It's hardly propaganda.

the truth is that your being brainwashed into many things corporations and governments want of you. its more like applied psychology :)

i read a report a long time ago -the source is not reliable at all (it was a conspiracy theory)- on how supermarkets in the U.S play specific forms of music to keep customers interested in shopping. i now realise it does have some truth - i once went inside a supermarket runned by two Russian siblings, with no music inside, i cant even describe how boring it was in there even though all groceries there were desirable :) yum!

Yea, thats not propoganda. They are not saying "We were right to go into Iraq" etc. When the Army use to have adverts on TV this was propoganda as well? lol

Well... they're not going to play Marylin Manson over the loud speakers in a local supermarket now are they.

The Australian Army comes to schools and drops off information, has info days, etc... We're hardly getting brainwashed, what's the difference?

I think you'll find the majority of Americans are quite patriotic, and whether they agree with the war in Iraq won't sway their deterination to join. Propaganda would be Iraq is wrong, we are right, fight for us...But general recruitment ads, as far as I know, aren't allowed to do that.

It's when they start flashing Uncle Ben subliminally, (a la the simpsons) that you've gotta be worried.

i guess they are in their right
any country wants their people to join up for the army or whatever obviously to help defend it and stuff
you cant really blame them
every country does it..
just maybe not as much as america

Wat excessive ads that go "lets kill ppl, and kill some more, and kill the fuck out of all this innocent ppl" is nothing but a normal ad?

Wat the fuck? What u neo_0-kun think an Ad is, ur juss a dumb fuck, cause u fully agree with americans and how they fuck up this world. How they supprt israel to screw up every living palestine, how they screw up afganistan, and how they destroy > 200,000 iraqi lives. Use ur brain u piece of trash.

Go home u auschwitz nazi faggot. Ur ona those conservative extremists. Selfish patriotic prick!!!!!!!!!!!!
Lets see, the ads for the US army (I've seen alot of them) do not say "Iraqis are scum who will invade" they are no different then coco-cola advertisments, except they normally pay more to the company.

Maybe if you actually subscribed to the IGN site, you wouldn't have to view the advertisements but since you are so cheap to not pay for what you see yourself it is left to others to pay for you. Do you think IGN could survive without ad's? No, so shut up, it isn't propaganda you have no idea what you're talking about.

Basic summary: If you dont want "propaganda" pay for it yourself you cheapskate.
