is it true that it's really hard for people with B.psych or B.A(psych) degrees to find a job after uni?

yes.

pretty much because the jobs are so limited, and it seems everyone who doesn't know what to do just pick 'psychology'

similar to those people that pick 'arts'

No that is not true. It's much harder for people who major in psychology to find jobs but it is alot easier for people who do honours and post graduate in psych to find jobs.
