Is there more information available? There is no answer without knowing f(x).I’ve been doing the 2021 Abbotsleigh 2U trial paper found on acehsc, and while it says there are solutions none are attached.
If anyone has solutions that would be great.
Otherwise, I can’t seem to figure out how to do question 12 b). Does anyone know how?

No, there is no further information given. I could try using trial and error, but I was hoping for a more methodical answer. Is there more information available? There is no answer without knowing f(x).
Maybe as an exercise try various functions.
Thanks so much!@jaatinenr01 @cossine if it helps, here is the suggested solution to this question from the paper:

This is why you don't use acehsc as sometimes they forget to put the solutions up.I’ve been doing the 2021 Abbotsleigh 2U trial paper found on acehsc, and while it says there are solutions none are attached.
