Q1. Identify two common indicators of water quality that would be the most useful in monitoring waste water from a fruit cannery. Justify your choices.

btw, could any1 summarise the main contaminations in the waste from different types of factories?

Q2. how to find a site which is the most suitable for monitorign the impact of the industries in river system if a diagram of the local industries in relation to the water system is given?

All they want is for you to determine;

The direction of flow of a river - oh dear lord no! That is ALWAYS from mountains or to oceans or both, depending on how detailed the diagram is.

Where abouts to test the water such that you answer the question that was put forward in the first place.

So, say we wanted to boycott factory/industrial site B, for example.

Simple. Compare tests at 3 with tests at 2. Easy. An elevation of water pollutants in test 3 would, as far as the diagram tells us, indicate the contaminations caused by factory/industrial site B.
